A conditioning wash that cleanses and conditions in one step. This breakthrough formula combines cleansing ingredients with a conditioning base to give you smooth, conditioned curls that are both clean and defined. When the complete Curl line is used together, curls are beautiful, defined and frizz free - and they stay that way 2x longer. Powered by the Extended Curl Memory technology, Curl Conditioning Wash:

  • cleans and conditions in one step
  • gently cleans hair of dirt, oil and build-up
  • starts defining curls in shower
  • time-release conditioning keeps hair smooth and conditioned, in and out of the shower

Curl Conditioning Wash is ideal for all curl types. It is silicone-free. Safe and formulated for color and chemically treated hair.

Why would I also need to use Curl Detangling Rinse? Is Curl Conditioning Wash not enough?

Curl Conditioning Wash provides balanced cleansing and conditioning. For some curls, it may be all you need. Curl Detangling Rinse delivers additional slip to hair for instant detangling for curls that are tangle prone. It seals cuticles keeping stands smooth, conditioned with increased manageability so your curls stay defined, detangled and are prepped for frizz-free, curly styles.

What cleans the hair?

Instead of relying on sulfates to clean the hair, Curl Conditioning Wash uses a combination of two gentle ingredients, Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Amaranth Protein and Decyl Glucoside to remove dirt, oil, and styling residue.

Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Amaranth Protein is a natural plant sourced cleanser.

Decyl Glucoside is a natural cleanser derived from sugars.

Is it color safe?

Yes, all of Living Proof’s hair care products are color safe. Living Proof’s sulfate-free products contain extremely gentle cleansers which clean the hair with a minimized effect on color.

What is the fragrance in Curl Conditioning Wash?

The scent is a similar light citrus fragrance to what is found in most other Living Proof products.

When and why is it important for a product to be sulfate-free?

You've probably heard a lot about sulfates and generally think they are bad for hair. You should watch out for sulfates in shampoos as when they are used in lathering, cleansing products they can strip hair of its natural surface oils, making it feel rough, dry and brittle. Sulfates can also strip the scalp of its natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. Examples of commonly used sulfate ingredients that can be stripping include: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate.  You should watch out for these in shampoos.

Sulfates do not inflict damage on hair when used in conditioners or treatments.  When used in these products they actually help make hair smoother, softer and visibly healthier.

Sulfates in conditioners and treatments do not damage chemical treatments or color.  Characterizing them as not good for your hair in these types of products is incorrect.
