Living Proof Curl Detangling Rinse 11.5 oz
Curl Detangling Rinse is NOT a conditioner. It is a unique water-activated, gel-like formula that detangles hair when it hits water, prepping hair for frizz-free styles. When the complete Curl line is used together, curls are beautiful, defined and frizz free - and they stay that way 2x longer. Powered by the Extended Curl Memory technology, Curl Detangling Rinse:
- detangles and defines curls the instant it hits water
- preps hair for frizz-free styling
Curl Detangling Rinse is ideal for all curl types. It is silicone-free. Safe and formulated for color and chemically treated hair.
How is Curl Defining Rinse different than a conditioner?
Curl Defining Rinse is a water activated formula that focuses on detangling, not conditioning to define and preps natural curls and waves in the shower for long lasting frizz-free styles.
Why would I also need to use Curl Detangling Rinse? Is Curl Conditioning Wash not enough?
Curl Conditioning Wash provides balanced cleansing and conditioning. For some curls, it may be all you need. Curl Detangling Rinse delivers additional slip to hair for instant detangling for curls that are tangle prone. It seals cuticles keeping hair strands smooth with increased manageability so your curls stay defined, detangled and are prepped for frizz-free, curly styles.
What is the fragrance in Curl Defining Rinse?
The scent is a similar light citrus fragrance to what is found in most other Living Proof products.
Is it color safe?
Yes, all of Living Proof’s hair care products are color safe. Living Proof’s sulfate-free products contain extremely gentle cleansers which clean the hair with a minimized effect on color.
How does the humidity and frizz protection compare to No Frizz?
Curlcontains optimal levels of Living Proof’s Healthy Hair Molecule (OFPMA) to maximize curl definition and still provide protection from Frizz.
Will using No Frizz with Curl give additional humidity and frizz protection?
Yes, Curl is compatible with all Living Proof products. Using both Curl and No Frizz will provide additional humidity and frizz protection. We recommend using No Frizz Leave In Conditioner for additional conditioning. No Frizz Weightless Spray to reactivate Curl. Prime Style Extender, cream or spray are also great options for extending curl styles.
When and why is it important for a product to be sulfate-free?
You've probably heard a lot about sulfates and generally think they are bad for hair. You should watch out for sulfates in shampoos as when they are used in lathering, cleansing products they can strip hair of its natural surface oils, making it feel rough, dry and brittle. Sulfates can also strip the scalp of its natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. Examples of commonly used sulfate ingredients that can be stripping include: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. You should watch out for these in shampoos.
Sulfates do not inflict damage on hair when used in conditioners or treatments. When used in these products they actually help make hair smoother, softer and visibly healthier.
Sulfates in conditioners and treatments do not damage chemical treatments or color. Characterizing them as not good for your hair in these types of products is incorrect.
