The last thing Vincent Kehoe of the Research Council of Makeup Artists wanted to do was create more of the same in the world of foundations.  It was this desire that revolutionized the world of makeup as we know it, spawning the now-legendary RCMA Foundation.  Considered the top choice of professionals everywhere, RCMA Foundation is a staple in many an artist's kit.  A professional, highly pigmented, blendable cream base that is formulated without perfume, mineral oil or lanolin, RCMA Foundation is ideal for photography, film and anywhere high-definition quality is needed with a finish that feels light enough for every day wear as well.  Each pan size in this palette is 0.08oz and is enough for 10-15 applications each.  Not sure what color you need?  Buy a sample!

"I carry RCMA professional makeup palettes in my kit.  This is a great foundation for print, TV, film and bridal.  I am never caught without the right color when I have these!  They're a must-have if you can't afford to fill your kit with full sized products but need a wide range of shades in a few, easy to handle palettes." --Mary Erickson

What makes RCMA so different?

  • Manufactured under stringent conditions in small batches
  • Each ingredient is weighed out to the gram to maintain exact color standards and consistency
  • Made with a 50% pigment ratio to waxes and oils for high coverage with little product*
  • Contains only vegetable oils, pure waxes and FDA approved colors
  • No perfumes or lanolin (allergens)
  • No petrolatum or mineral oils (produce excess surface oil)**
  • Applies like a second skin, rather than a heavy coat of foundation
  • Long lasting coverage with little-to-no touch-up
  • No caking or separating, and RCMA No-Color Powder perfectly mattifies any trace of shine
  • Low halation means no powdering is required on dry skin types, especially for men

  2. Wonderfull

Posted by Trudi on Mar 13th 2014

I love the consistency of the product. It blends easily and with a bit of moisturizer you can thin it for a more sheer look.
The mixture of colors is excellent as you can mix and match.
I was looking for other foundations with a HD finish so I listened to the recommendation by Wayne Goss and I must say, he is absolutely right.

  3. MUA must have

Posted by JT PRO MUA on Mar 12th 2014

I love these two palettes, It's exactly what I was looking for.
It was between these two palettes or the Bobbi Brown Universal Palette but I went with RCMA because of the price, its practical and because it was recommended by a well known makeup artist/guru Wayne Goss. I can now also minimize my makeup kit down and not have to carry so many foundation and concealers around.

  4. love it

    2) Colors blend easily!
    3) Can mix the colors to get even more colors:)
    4) Can build up on this product and it wont look cakey!
    5) Put a primer on before and a powder to set it and it will stay all day (I have combination skin type)
    6) Recommended by my 2 fav make-up Gurus: Wayne Goss and Kandee Johnson <3

  7. Great product but it takes practice

Posted by About Face MUA on Jan 3rd 2014

I love the coverage, feel, and finish. That said, you will want to get the thinner to make it more versatile. Keep in mind that the thinner makes it more prone to creating a sheen/dewy/glowy look. It does work well to pat on Smashbox Antishine or some similiar product when working with combo/oily skin. I also like sheering it out with MAC Strobe cream. I carry these palettes all the time and have never been without the perfect match.

  8. Love this!

So much better than i expected! Use with a great primer, I love coverFX prime with this foundation!

  9. My go to cream foundation

Posted by Unknown on Dec 7th 2013

learned on this and cinema secrets... this became my fav... have tried other cream foundations... nothing else comes close in superb coverage... highly pigmented... I use this as concealer straight or thin it with RCMA thinner for a more sheer coverage...

Note: If you're just starting out with this product do yourself a favor and try thinning it till you learn how to handle it's stuff slip and glide...

While not the easiest foundation to use it is absolutely the most capable in the hands of a tenured artist... invest that time to learn how to apply this fantastic product and you'll understand why it's a fav amongst working professionals within the industry... (Five Stars)

  10. BEst Ive used so far...expensiVE JUST FOR A SAMPLE.

Posted by mirasol california on Nov 20th 2013

I was a little skeptical at first on buying this product because the sample price is little too expensive I wouldn't buy this product again for $70.00 I would buy it for $50.00 and the graftobian palette is the same amount of size and price and its under $60.

Pros: creamy foundation and comes out as sheer but not too much of a sheer. Its creamy like a whipped cream icing on a cake very blendable. With primer lasts about 7-9 hours without primer lasts about 2-4. It's a range of light to dark olive skin tone. You can mix the colors together to get the right perfect color for you clients. No fragrance. Or some type of smell. Big mirror. Good for elderly because jt fills in the linese

Cons: expensive for a sample, the wells are small and too close to each other hard to disinfect. Does not have a full coverage ,has 70% of coverage. The sample palette drys after 2days and you always put in the thinner. Not enough

  11. Great product!

Posted by Unknown on Nov 19th 2013

I love using this palette on clients! Works well as both concealer & foundation. You will definitely need the thinner! I apply this with a beauty blender and it goes on effortlessly. I wouldn't wear this everyday, it feels way too heavy .

  12. Love it!

Posted by Unknown on Oct 25th 2013

I have been searching for a great foundation palette for awhile since I hate lugging around foundation bottles that make my kit heavy. Now, I don't have to look anymore because RCMA's foundation palette in Shinto was just what I was looking for.

I recommend buying the thinner. I found that using the thinner makes the application much easier than using it straight up. I also found it easier to mix colors (I'm a shade between SH-I and SH-II) with the thinner. In terms of applying it, I found patting it on was the way to go rather than brushing it on. I do love that this foundation holds up very well (especially with setting powder), has no fragrance and makes my face feel soft. Even my bf prefers this foundation on me over my regular foundation.

Most of the clients I work on are either Asian, Pacific Islander or Caucasian. So far I have yet to encounter a person I was unable to match with this palette. When I have the extra cash, I most likely will purchase the KO palette.

  13. Great Foundation

Posted by Unknown on Oct 11th 2013

Great coverage without the greasy feel.

  14. great concealer for under eye

Posted by Unknown on Sep 20th 2013

super pigmented and great concealer for under eye blue visible veins.
    super like it.

  15. Fast Shipment

Posted by Therese on Aug 29th 2013

I love how fast this palette was shipped. I live in Maryland. I ordered the KO palette for $65.99 on Sunday night. They shipped it on Tuesday and I received it on Thursday. I was very satisfied with how fast it shipped. Everything was well packaged. When I opened it, everything was intact but the foundation looked really sweaty (but they say it's fine, there is nothing wrong with it). I will write another review once I actually use the product.

  16. First Professional Makeup

This is one of the best foundation I've ever used. 1st class cover and easy to blend. This is an excellent palette.

  17. Best!!

Absolutely love this product!! It's a must!! Does not feel heavy on the skin and has just the perfect coverage!

  18. yes/no

Posted by mirasol on Jul 12th 2013

To be honest I recently order this product because it had a lot of good reviews, but when I received the palette it was pretty small its pretty much the size of my palm. First time I applied on my face It didn't make any difference it didn't cover any Sun spots, scars or any other imperfections. It came out like a translucent cream foundation. I thought it was me but I had to try it on a different person but it only cover a minimal but not a full coverage but it does go on smoothly and does have a strong staying power. $72 sample palette not worth it....id pay only $50 for a sample especially when they are not returnable. Sooo its yes but also a no.

  19. Amazing Product

I keep these in my kit as my "go to" pallettes for all bridal work. My work has been published in international periodicals and I used these pallettes for all the shoots. I have a very diverse client base for both models and brides and always have the perfect shade at my finger tips. It performs well for all ethnicities as well as all ages from 18 - 80!

Bought the KO palette for my starter kit. It's a medium to heavy coverage cream foundation, I bought the thinner at the same time which I found to be helpful when I wanted a sheerer coverage. I recommend purchasing a palette and spatula so you can mix and avoid contaminating the palette.

Went on like a dream once I warmed it up, easy to blend although when I used in conjunction with a drop of thinner it became slightly greasy after a few hours (I live in a very humid hot climate so with th...

This is a very good investment. It's versatile, highly pigmented, beautiful shades and finish, and works great for print/video/photo media. It's on the small side, so you may run out of some shades very soon. But it's practical so you can carry around all the shades at once.

I bought this palette figuring I would be able to use it on myself and others because of the plethora of shades. It has proven it's worth and price over and over again, I've even got my friends to purchase one. The price is great for what you are getting, as it allows you to find your best shade for all seasons, but doesn't have so much that the product will go bad before using all of it. I highly recommend this for anyone starting off as a makeup artist, as the palette is exceptional

These are one of the best investments that a new makeup artist can make. You can mix just about any color you could possibly need with these. They are compact and don't take up much room in your kit. They're a great way to try out shades and learn which ones you will use the most without investing a huge amount of money in large individual sizes. These are also great to keep on hand for those times when you need a shade you rarely use and don't want to spring for a full sized product.
