Introducing MOB Beauty: PRO Performance, Earth-Friendly Beauty
We are thrilled to announce we have added MOB Beauty to our Camera Ready Family of brands and are proud to offer their professional-grade products that are sustainable, cruelty-free, ingredient-conscious, and vegan formulas that we know you'll love!
In this blog, we'll share more about the MOB Beauty Team, their mission to be sustainable and ethical, and why they're the hottest pro-performance, sustainable brand that you need to try! Let's jump in!
MOB Beauty co-founders Alisha Gallagher and Victor Casale showing off and formulating MOB Beauty products
Behind the Brand
MOB Beauty was created by beauty industry powerhouses including Victor Casale (former managing director and chief chemist of MAC, and chief innovation officer and co-founder of Cover FX), Alisha Gallagher (ex-SVP at Briogeo and Cover FX), Steve Blanchet (former president and owner of CSR Cosmetics Solutions), and Beatrice Seguin (a pharmaceutical scientist).
Together, they wanted to use their decades of industry experience to build beauty for a better future - to define new standards in the industry by questioning everything, to improve everything.
Sustainability & Innovation
MOB Beauty is an industry leader when it comes to sustainability. Their packaging features refillable palettes and components to reduce waste while giving you sturdy, attractive, and easy-to-identify products (a must-have for PROs and their kits), and they're always researching new ways to reduce unnecessary processes and components.
All of their packaging is made of PET and PP resin (the easiest to recycle) with at least 50% post-consumer recycled content (reusing material that already exists in the waste stream), and their goal is to be 100% PCR.
The Formulas
When it comes to performance, you can trust MOB Beauty. They have their own lab and chemists that take a product-first approach. Instead of creating new collections just to have more launches, each new shade and formula is analyzed and tested vigorously. They won't release a product unless it offers the pro-performance with great payoff, no fall out, long-wear, and smooth and easy-to-blend textures that you deserve.
Their goal is to create products that will be staple items in your makeup kit and to create more ingredient-conscious versions of your favorites!
The Need for High-Performing, Ethical Ingredients
In addition to avoiding any known-to-be harmful ingredients, they formulate with ingredients that offer skin-loving and anti-bacterial properties, a major bonus for professional makeup artists that stock MOB Beauty in their kits.
Their mission to be sustainable and earth-friendly applies to their ingredients, too. They sustainably and ethically source everything that goes into their products and leave out ingredients like silicones which don't bio-degrade and end up in our water supply harming biodiversity and our local ecosystems. Their products only contain RSPO-certified Palm Oil (it was sourced from responsible areas), and they only use ethically sourced Mica. They only work with suppliers that provide statements that no children were used to source or produce their ingredients. To top it off, they're Leaping Bunny and PETA Certified Vegan and Cruelty-Free.

Chelsie's Top Picks
I've been highly anticipating the Sonia Roselli launch, and one of the first items I picked out was the Water Elixir Skin Prep! I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm already SO in love with it! It's so lightweight and soothing, calms inflammation quickly, and absorbs into my skin almost instantly. I love that it doubles as a serum AND moisturizer. It adds some much needed hydration and helps to build up my skin barrier (check out our Sonia Roselli Live, if you haven't already!). My skin feels so soft, plump, and dewy after using it, and I've noticed a considerable improvement in my skin texture. It's the perfect product to use before makeup, as it gives my skin a lovely, glowing base! I can't wait to use it on my clients and models!
I absolutely LOVE the Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner - it's quickly become one of my go-to products! When I'm having an especially dry day (pretty much every day lately), I quickly spritz some of this on to get an instant boost of moisture. I love that it contains hyaluronic acid, my favorite ingredient, to provide continuous hydration, but what really makes this toner stand out is that it also protects and primes your skin with antioxidants and refreshing ingredients (thank you CoQ10 and Chamomile). Plus, it's a super-fine mist so it doesn't interfere with my makeup! Overall, this toner is perfect for keeping your skin hydrated, refreshed and protected throughout the day!
August's Top Picks
I am totally obsessed with Danessa Myricks' Vision Flush! As a no-makeup makeup fanatic, this is the perfect product to add some color onto your face. I'm personally in love with shade Ballet Slippers and use it as blush whenever I can along with a pop on my eyes. It is super soft, creamy, and incredibly pigmented. A few taps covers everything I need.
I also love love love the Dose of Colors Velvet Mousse Lipsticks. They have a range of gorgeous deep colors (my fav is Spicy) that are highly pigmented and a super soft non-drying formula. These are my go to for date night and will last through it all while still being super comfortable on your lips!
Holly's Top Picks
I am slowly transitioning my makeup routine to all cream products and the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush has become my newest obsession! Every shade is so beautiful and flattering. It's so easy to blend and dries down very nicely - I don't even need to set it with a powder blush. I love wearing them when I do a very natural makeup look to keep my face looking fresh and radiant!
My second pick for the month is one I've been wanting to buy for a while and am so glad I caved! I never felt like I needed to invest in a nice makeup light to do my skincare and makeup until I came across the Glamcor RIKI Skinny LED Vanity Mirror. It truly has changed my morning and night routine! It is so nice to sit down in the morning in front of great lighting to do my skincare/makeup while sipping on my morning coffee! Talk about self care! It is also super easy to travel with considering the size. I am IN LOVE with this light.
Calvin's Top Picks
I know a great lipstick formula when I see one, and the new Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Nudes are amazing. Longwear, highly pigmented, a beautiful and line smoothing soft matte finish, super lightweight on the lips, AND a nude for all skin tones? This revolutionary formula is the answer to lip color. Swipe, Swipe, Go!!!
Since skin prep is an essential step of my job as a makeup artist, I had to name the Rituel de Fille Thorn Milk Hydrating Skin Mist as my second top pick (one of my coworkers selected it last month, but it's just that good that it needs to be name a top pick again)! I have extremely dry skin, so I like to test products on myself to see how they'll perform on clients with similar skin types, and knowing how the product performs all day is also the best way to elevate your artistry. Great makeup artists will know how the products will look all day/night long. This makes my feel hydrated, healthy and relaxed. I use it on clients right before all other skin prep just to give that layer of hydration to the skin so that it's not soaking up all the other products. Â
Liz's Top Picks
Even though I've curated the best skincare routine (thanks to having the best brands to choose from at work!), there are times my skin doesn't like to behave. It has texture and some spots that are prone to being oily while others want to be bone dry. When Sonia Roselli told me about her Water Oil Skin Prep, I was intrigued, but I have to say that it's really one of a kind. It's lightweight and locks in hydration. My skin is left with less texture and feels balanced. Plus, it makes my life on the go easier and helps me look flawless when I wear makeup. Hands down a must-have for my every day essentials.
Apparently, I am on an oil kick right now, and R+Co's Mirror Smoothing Oil has made a huge difference in my hair. I have long, fine, wavy hair with bleached ends and oily roots. I have been trying to find the perfect thing to make my hair dazzle even though it needs a trip to the salon ASAP. I have found some really amazing products, but I ALWAYS have issues with my ends getting dry and frizzy within a day of a fresh wash. I started using R+Co's Mirror Smoothing Oil about a month ago, and it has changed my game. I use it on my ends when my hair is wet, and I also touch up with it when it's dry. Since I started using it, I haven't felt like my ends are dry. If they start to feel like they need a drink, I grab more oil and give it some love. It's lightweight, so it doesn't weigh down my hair at any point and my hair is glossier than ever. I started using it on my daughter's hair and have seen a huge difference in how healthy her hair looks. I don't know if I can ever live without it now.
Morgan's Top Picks
I love products that help me get ready and out the door in minimal time, so Sydney Grace's Cream Shadows have been my go to! They come in a variety of gorgeous shades that suit any look from subtle to bold! It is true that they are smudge proof, but they will easily wash off with a cleanser! Theylast the entire day without creasing or moving. Unlike some other cream shadows, you have some time to work with before it dries to ensure you're happy with the look, and a little goes a long way. Warm Glow is my favorite color. It's definiely a must-try for cream shadow lovers.
My second favorite this month is Grande Cosmetics Lash Serum. Lash serum is an excellent way to repair lash damage caused by mascara, extensions, and false lashes. Grande Cosmetics has the best serum on the market right now. You have to be consistent in order to see the results of thicker and more lashes, but it is well worth it!
Jess's Top Picks
If you’re a naturally wavy/curly girl - I HIGHLY suggest this Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray! I like to do the *bare minimum* when it comes to styling my hair. After a shower, I towel dry, add some leave-in and curl product, then braid my hair when damp overnight. When I wake up, I take the braid out, run my fingers through the waves, and spritz on a generous amount of this spray to maintain the curl and de-frizz! It LOOKS like it took hours to style, but really minimal effort! A win/win in my book.
If you, like me, are a chapstick babe - you should try RMS Beauty's Tinted Daily Lip Balm! It looks and feels luxurious without that sticky and drying feel of lipstick (iykyk). With a hint of color, it’s subtle yet natural looking while FEELING amazing.

Meet the Brushes Jennifer Lopez Used in her Vogue Get Ready With Me Video
When it comes to selecting the best makeup brushes and products, Jennifer Lopez likely has access to any makeup brushes or tools she could ever want, so we were thrilled to see she used some of the makeup brushes we proudly offer at Camera Ready!
Keep reading our blog to learn more about the brushes she used (and why they're great)!
The brushes Jennifer Lopez used in her Vogue Tutorial include:
Bdellium Studio Line Brush - 948 Foundation
Bdellium Studio Line Brush - 954 Duet Fiber Slanted Kabuki
Bdellium Studio Line Brush - 936 Concealer
Cozzette Magic Blender BrushÂ
Bdellium 780 Pencil Brush
First, let's talk about the brush brands she used:
Bdellium Tools:
When looking for quality makeup brushes trusted by makeup artists, Bdellium Tools is the ideal choice for quality brushes at a great value. Their Studio Line of brushes offers a bright yellow rounded handle that's easy to hold and offers a large variety of face and eye brushes with bristles and shapes designed for specific application needs.
Cozzette:
Cozzette Beauty is a vegan, cruelty-free, and people-conscious brand created by professional makeup artist & photographer Roque Cozzette. After 3 decades working in the beauty, fashion, and celebrity makeup industry, Roque used his knowledge to create products that perform just as beautifully for everyday use as they do on film, so it's no wonder Jennifer Lopez keeps some of his brushes on hand!
Jennifer Lopez used Bdellium Studio Line Brush - 948 Foundation  for her foundation and concealer.
Foundation and Concealer: Â Bdellium Studio Line 948 Foundation Brush
For foundation and concealer application, Jennifer Lopez used the Bdellium Studio Line 948 Foundation Brush. Along with a slightly thicker handle that allows the user more control while handling, it also provides even application for a perfect finish of a liquid or cream foundation/concealer.
Jennifer Lopez used a slanted kabuki brush from Bdellium Tools to carve out her cheeks.
Contour: Bdellium Tools Studio Line 954 Duet Fiber Slanted Kabuki Brush
Jennifer Lopez's signature makeup look includes a perfectly contoured face with chiseled cheekbones, so to achieve this look, she used the Bdellium Tools Studio Line 954 Duet Fiber Slanted Kabuki Brush. Just like the foundation brush, it features a slightly thicker handle for control, and the dual-length bristles allow for great coverage and easy blending.
Nose & Lip Contour: Bdellium Tools Studio Line 936 Concealer Brush
When it comes to ensuring precise application, the Bdellium 936 Concealer Brush is a perfect choice. It works well with both cream and powder products, and it has stiffer bristles that allowed Jennifer Lopez to achieve her signature contoured look! She used it to draw contour lines down her nose and around her lips.
More Nose Contour: Bdellium Tools Studio Line 780 Pencil Brush
Jennifer Lopez takes her nose contour seriously and used the Bdellium 780 Pencil Brush to reinforce the shading she created with the Bdellium Concealer Brush. The 780 Pencil Brush is actually eyeshadow brush, but the densely packed bristles come to a tapered tip allowing the user to apply makeup with greater detail. That being said, this technique takes a steady hand and a bit of practice, but Jennifer did it with ease!
For Diffusing Eyeshadow & Precise Powdering: Cozzette S165 Magic Blender Brush
Odds are you've seen a Cozzette brush or two in other celebrity and makeup artist tutorials, and that's because the brand and products are created by Roque Cozzette - an award-winning makeup artist and photographer! His products have been long-time favorites here at Camera Ready, and you'll often see others like Danessa Myricks using his tools, too. The S165 Magic Blender Brush is a true multitasker designed with faux squirrel hairs that give the brush its signature whisper-soft application!

I've talked about my favorite brow product (the Inglot Playinn Soap Brow!), but this month, I wanted to shine a much-deserved spotlight on my favorite brow tool, the MYKITCO Pro My Brushed Brow 2.3! One end has stiff bristles that look almost like a tiny hair brush to fluff up your brows, and the other has a spoolie to set those tiny hairs in place. It's one of my favorite tools in my kit!
The makeup item I have been loving is RMS Re Dimension Hydra Power Blush. It has the prettiest finish that makes your skin look healthier, almost glowy, and it helps my skin look even more radiant.
Maria's Top Pick
I've always loved hydrating facial mists, and the Rituel de Fille Thorn Milk has become a staple in my collection. Aside from just looking cool (it has a bi-phase liquid that needs to be shaken up to be mixed), it instantly soothes and calms your skin as soon as you spritz it on. Any dry patches or light irrititation I have is instantly smoothed over, and it plays so well under makeup!
All of my foundations have layered on top of it beautifully, and it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, so any dryness or makeup breakup I'd experience due to my skin getting drier throughout the day is gone. That says a lot, especially because we're in the middle of winter!
The other thing I've been using nonstop since I bought it is the Artis Mini Palm Brush. I am really picky when it comes to foundation application tools because the foundations I tend to like are the types that dry down super quickly, so they give you less time to blend and tend to look streaky if not used properly.
However, this Artis brush changes all of that! I was able to blend out the foundation on my entire face with less time spent blending and no need to apply more product to the brush - I was shocked that I could cover my entire face with less product than normal! I was even able to lightly tap the brush on areas I wanted fuller coverage (like over the sun spots on my cheeks), and it built up beautifully.

Nothing is keeping my summer glow like TheBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer, Shadow, and Contour Powder! I have been getting so many compliments about how glowy I look when wearing this product. It blends like a dream and is the perfect shade for transitioning to the colder months! I cannot recommend this product enough!
The second item I can't stop using is Mehron Barrier Spray. This setting spray is getting the job done for me during these colder months! Most setting sprays leave my face feeling stiff and dry, and while I don't normally mind that during the warmer months, I want something more hydrating as the weather starts to cool down. It brings the perfect amount of hydration back into my skin without feeling like my makeup is going to slide off my face. This is a staple during the fall/winter time!
Calvin's Top Picks
If you're looking for a powder like none other, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Matte Setting Powder is it; up to 24-hour wear (trust me, I've tested it), a matte formula that never creases and never shines, and it looks like the skin of an angel. Not kidding. I am a makeup artist and photographer, so I am very picky with how products look, and this one delivers. Even on photoshoots, I pack this powder under the eyes to lock in concealer, and it just leaves the most flawless, blurred, and smooth finish. The best part? I never have to touch up the model.
Now, for my second pick for the month: Glow, Glow, Glow, Glow!!! Do you want a natural glow? Do you want it to look realistic? We got you. Rituel de Fille's Thorn Oil Priming Facial Elixir is super hydrating but leaves the most gorgeous skin-like glow I've ever seen. Even with foundation over it, it gives this rich subtle skin. Feels beautiful, looks incredible.
Liz's Top Picks
I have to admit that I try everything Saint Jane launches because I have yet to be disappointed, and I am truly blown away by the Hydrabloom Body Silk. This lotion locks in hydration without leaving my skin feeling greasy or heavy. I saw an immediate, calming, and hydrating response in my skin texture to this cream (I have keratosis pilaris), and the smell is so relaxing. It's the perfect touch to add a little relaxation or self care into your day and would make an amazing gift to encourage the same for others.
I have been on a path of trying a million hair products as I am always looking for the next best thing, and Philip B's Forever Shine Collection caught me off guard. My hair is fine, wavy, and highlighted so it tends to be oily and flat at the roots and quite dry on the ends plus I am a mom on the go who does not always have time to blow out my hair. My hair has been left with a beautiful shine with zero frizz, defined waves, and perfect volume with or without heat. The scent is perfect for the colder season, and I have to admit I put the hair product sampling on hold for now as I am in awe with the results this collection has given my hair.
Morgan's Top Picks
This winter, I've been treating my skin to a bit of TLC with the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches. They are excellent if you want something hydrating and refreshing, and they don't slip and slide around like some other eye patches can. I look like I'm more alert and awake after using them, and I've even gotten my husband hooked on them! He appreciates that they smooth and lighten his dark circles.
Another must-have for me has been the Insert Name Here Quick Slick Flyaway Hair Essence. This product was one of the many reasons I was thrilled to bring on Insert Name Here. I love this thing! Do you have flyways? Not anymore! Do you have thin hair that doesn't like going in a ponytail? Not anymore! I use this when my hair is up or down. My daughter has fine hair and her baby hairs are unmanageable. However, this works wonders for getting her hair to behave!
Jess's Top Picks
If your skin errs more on the oily side like mine, do yourself a favor and ADD 👏 TO 👏 CART 👏. I don’t love it when my skin looks too matte, which is why I love Jason Wu's Magic Matte Oil! It takes away the “bad shine” while somehow still keeping the “good shine”, and doesn’t clog up my pores nor break me out! There's a reason we keep selling out of it - it's because it's that good!
I have also been really enjoying Jason Wu Beauty The Freckled Boy for the cutest faux freckles. Sometimes, you just need a good freckle day, and on those days, I use this to summon my inner freckle-faced goddess. Subtle but natural, which is exactly how I like it!

Five Reasons We Love William Tuttle Creme Foundation & the Best Alternative Products
Dewy, luminous, healthy-looking skin is in, and foundations that give that beautiful look have been going viral on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond! Last year, RCMA Cream Foundation was among our most popular products thanks to Makeup Artist and Influencer @Paintedbyspencer, and this year has already kicked off with another viral surge for PRO favorite William Tuttle Creme Foundation!
However, long before people were raving about the beautiful luminous skin-like finish on social media, makeup artists were using William Tuttle Creme Foundation in their kits to create a beautiful, natural complexion on their clients for film, television, and events.
In this blog, we'll discuss:
Why William Tuttle Creme Foundation is such a great foundation for dewy natural-looking skin

Five Reasons We Love William Tuttle Creme Foundation
If you're looking for a lightweight full coverage foundation that doesn't need to be set and gives a natural, healthy skin, dewy finish, William Tuttle Creme Foundation may be the perfect match! Â
This creamy formula is easy to blend, has high pigmentation, and has been trusted by makeup artists for the most important jobs including applying makeup for television, movies, and big events.
The top 5 reasons we love William Tuttle Creme Foundation include:
It doesn't have to be set with powder! The unique formula looks great and is long-lasting with or without powder.
It is incredibly affordable for the great quality you're getting! It's just $15 for 17 grams!
It is highly pigmented, so a little goes a very long way.
William Tuttle Creme Foundation looks beautiful on all skin types including textured and mature skin.
It looks best when applied with a dry sponge, but it still looks beautiful when applied with a dense brush or finger tips!
PRO Tip: We do not recommend applying with a completely saturated sponge because the formula is oil and wax-based (a very lightly wet sponge with the water squeeze out of it is fine if you prefer the sponge texture when it's slightly wet). If you have skin that is sensitive to formulas that are oil or wax-based, check out our recommendations below!
Who is William Tuttle?
William Tuttle was one of the pioneers in Makeup Artistry and won several awards as a makeup artist between the 1940s and 1980s. He served as the head of MGM's makeup department for more than three decades and taught makeup artistry to budding makeup professionals. After he left MGM, he created his beloved William Tuttle Creme Foundation, highly pigmented cream blushes, powder, and color correctors.
His full line of makeup includes cream contour products and cream highlighters.

Our Top Alternatives for William Tuttle Creme Foundation
If you are looking for an alternative for William Tuttle Creme Foundation, our team has curated a list of products we think you'll love!
High-Coverage Foundation Alternatives for William Tuttle Creme Foundation:
Joe Blasco Ultrabase Foundation
Joe Blasco Ultrabase Foundation is a great alternative for William Tuttle Creme Foundation because it's another emollient cream-based foundation with higher pigment levels to provide excellent coverage while still feeling lightweight! This pro-favorite formula has also gone viral in the past when Kim Kardashian shared her at-home makeup routine in 2020. We offer the full-size as well as samples to help shade match.
RCMA Cream & Liquid Foundations
If you want to stick with a cream formula, RCMA Cream Foundation is another highly pigmented foundation with full coverage that has skyrocketed to social media fame. Many makeup artists keep this foundation stocked in their kits because a little goes a long way, and you can mix it with moisturizers like Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate to sheer it out for an additional glow. It's available in a variety of sizes from full palettes with a wide range of shades to four-pan or five-pan options, as well as individual containers. We sell samples of it, too! The biggest differences are that this formula provides a more natural finish instead of glowy, and it is thicker in consistency.
The RCMA Liquid Foundation is a full coverage foundation that hydrates the skin and provides a natural finish, and influencers like Tati Westbrook have sung its praises on YouTube! It provides a natural finish that looks great on a wide range of sky types, and you guessed it! We sell the full-size and samples of it, too.
Glowy, Dewy, and Luminous Foundation Alternatives for William Tuttle Creme Foundation
Smashbox HALO Healthy Glow All-in-One Tinted Moisturizer
Primer-infused for all-day wear, this tinted moisturizer provides SPF 25 sun protection for a healthy glow as it primes, perfects, protects, and hydrates skin. The coverage is sheerer than the William Tuttle Creme Foundation, but the finish is just as dewy and beautiful! We also recommend this as a lighter-weight option for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin.
Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation
Another makeup industry favorite, Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation is a lightweight, hydrating, and dewy finish foundation that perfects the skin with each wear. It's a makeup artist favorite for film and photography because it smooths over fine lines and texture with ease and covers over small imperfections with light-reflecting pigments. Their unique formula creates a blurring and brightening effect on the skin to provide an "I just had a professional facial" glow! We proudly offer full-size bottles and samples.
Graftobian HD Creme Foundation
Another makeup artist must-have when their client wants a dewy, healthy skin foundation, Graftobian HD Creme Foundation offers a more glowy finish and is buildable to full-coverage. You can find it in palette form, individual containers, refills, and even samples!
Face Atelier Ultra Foundation
Our final recommendation is a favorite for bridal makeup artists and those with textured or mature skin - Face Atelier Ultra Foundation. Available in a variety of sizes (including samples, Face Atelier Ultra Foundation doesn't need to be set with powder, just like the William Tuttle Creme Foundation, and it hydrates the skin while providing a natural healthy-looking skin finish!
Mehron Celebre PRO HD Foundation
This Mehron foundation provides even higher coverage and the same beautiful dewy finish you'll get from the William Tuttle Foundation! The Mehron Celebre PRO HD Foundation is available in a range of shades.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation Stick
This stick foundation provides that great healthy-skin glow that you crave! The Make Up For Ever team created it to be undetectable and perfecting for the newest HD & 4K technologies and beyond. The stick formulation makes it easy to throw in a bag, for touchups, and more!

How to Wear Vivia Magenta on the Lips
The easiest way to incorporate a bold raspberry shade like Viva Magenta into your makeup collection is with lipstick or lip gloss. The key to wearing a bolder lip color like Viva Magenta is lip prep with a gentle lip scrub because bold shades can accentuate dry or peeling lips.
Viva Magenta Lipstick and Lip Gloss
Our top two picks include Dose of Colors Talk is Chic Liquid Matte Lipstick and Buxom Cosmetics Brandi Lip Polish. However, if you want to mix your own perfect shade or adjust a hue you already own, the best selling Danessa Myricks Beauty Luxe Cream Palette in The Feminist is a fantastic option.
PRO Tip: If you want your bold Viva Magenta lip color to be the statement of your makeup look, opt for neutral eyeshadow (matte or shimmer will both be flattering with this look) and long lashes!
Viva Magenta Makeup for the Eyes
Viva Magenta may look intimidating at first glance, but this bold color is a great for all eye colors! It will make blue eyes look bluer, provides a striking contrast to green eyes, and complements brown-eyed beauties. The perfect Viva Magenta Eyeshadow Palette is Dose of Colors Blushing Berries if you're ready to embrace the full-blown berry look or Viseart Petites Mattes Milieu for a splash of magenta with other staple shades.
If you're intimidated by wearing a bold berry on your lids, you can always test the waters with a red-toned liner or a shimmering shade that provides a softer look. We recommend Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in shade 79 or Sydney Grace Cream Shadow in Cranberry Streusel (a shimmering medium-toned plummy red).
PRO Tip: A rich brown mascara pairs well with magenta or reddish-toned eye looks.
How to Wear Viva Magenta on the Cheeks
Bold makeup lovers, rejoice! There's nothing like a vibrant blush to instantly liven up your look. However, if you prefer just a tint of color, don't worry. We have options for you, too!
Our Top Picks for Viva Magenta Blush
For a luminous magenta-toned blush, we love Lethal Cosmetics MAGNETIC Face Powder Blush in Adorned. It has a glowy finish that helps soften the look, and it can be sheerly applied for a whisper of color. For cream blush, the new Smashbox Halo Sheer to Stay Color Tint in Pomegranate is a great option that can also be worn on the lips for a monochromatic look. The unique formula offers a powder-like matte finish that refracts light to help create a blurred, soft-focus look and is infused with jojoba oil to help hydrate the skin.
BONUS: Glitter and Multichrome Options for Viva Magenta Makeup
If your makeup style calls for extra glitz and glam, we have the perfect products to take Viva Magenta to the next level!
Karla Cosmetics Shadow Potion in the shade Snooze is a great option for those wanting a gel-based product that can be used as an all-over color or liner. This multichromatic shade shifts from purple to blue, green, bronze, and then magenta. Â
If you prefer glitter to take your look to new heights, Eye Kandy Glitter Sprinkles in the shade Cherry Bomb is the perfect pick. We recommend pairing it with a Glitter Glue to maximize wear time and minimize fallout.

The calendar may officially say it's 2023, but we can't help but look back with gratitude for all of your support in 2022!
From the biggest launch we've ever had (the Theresa is Lethal Collection with Lethal Cosmetics and Theresa is Dead) to providing a few PRO Tips on why some of the viral products and trends you saw actually work (like Ben Nye Pretty Pink Powder, how to use the Aqua Chromes from the Danessa Myricks Lightwork Volume 4 Transcendence Palette, and Hailey Bieber's lip lining hack), our team has been curating the best in beauty and crafting blogs and tutorials to help you not only Shop Like a PRO but to experience the best in beauty like a PRO!

Learn more about our favorite moments from 2022:
2022 Highlight #1: We updated our website in May 2022 to make exploring easier
The last few years have changed how people shop for their beauty products, and it highlighted the fact that our website was in major need of an upgrade to give you the best experience possible! We worked hard to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for from the comfort of your couch because our community deserves an online shopping experience that resembles shopping in-store with our beauty experts and makeup artists. Each guest that comes through our doors at our Dallas, TX, showroom gets personalized recommendations based on what they're shopping for, and this 2022 highlight brought you one step closer to that experience!
We added new 'filters' like formula, coverage, and finish on our website so you could zero in on the product you want - like searching for a cream foundation with full coverage and a natural finish.
We also added the ability to shop by concern, so if you are looking for skincare that can help with texture, cover or treat dark spots, or provide extra moisture, you'll find products specific to your own beauty needs with a simple click! Are you a makeup artist (or want to Shop Like a PRO)? We have a collection of kit essentials curated for you! Finally, we launched our first quiz to help you find the hair care that's right for your individual needs!
2022 Highlight #2: We added more hair care to our assortment than ever
We take the feedback and requests from our beauty community seriously, and we sent a survey to our most loyal customers in 2021 to learn what our customers wanted us to offer more of. The answer: hair care! We proudly added several of the most requested brands including OLAPLEX, R+Co, R+Co Bleu, Fekkai, IGK, and Insert Name Here so that we could be your favorite destination for all of your beauty needs.

2022 Highlight #3: Celebrating what beauty means to YOU with our I Am Camera Ready Campaign
The number of new beauty trends and products in 2022 was dizzying, and it left a lot of makeup lovers feeling overwhelmed.
We ran our I Am Camera Ready Campaign in the fall of 2022 to remind folks that there's no true definition of what beauty should look like and that it's okay if you don't feel the need to wear makeup all the time or feel compelled to try the latest trends. To us, the world of beauty and beauty products should be inclusive and a means of personal expression. Â
We partnered with some of the biggest names in the beauty industry like @Paintedbyspencer, Danessa Myricks, Theresa is Dead, and more to share this message through Instagram Lives, blogs, tutorials, and more. If you missed out on all the fun, don't worry! You can always view our past I Am Camera Ready blogs to learn more and to relive the fun!

Three Beauty Resolutions Worth Keeping in 2023
Making new year's resolutions doesn't have to be a daunting process! In fact, some of the best resolutions are the ones we make year-round. However, if you're the type that loves to set a list of goals or to-do to jumpstart a new year, we have three easy-to-keep goals in mind that will keep your beauty collection in tip-top shape in 2023 (and beyond)!
Our top 3 beauty resolutions worth keeping for 2023 are:
Wash your brushes regularly
Learn new techniques
Keep your makeup, hair care, and skincare products organized
Learn more about our 2023 beauty resolutions:
Beauty Resolution #1: Wash and Disinfect Your Makeup Brushes and Tools Regularly
We often feel like a broken record with this tip, but there are plenty of reasons we will always include washing your makeup brushes regularly to our list of to-dos for beauty lovers. Cleaning and disinfecting your makeup brushes will help increase the lifespan of your tools, decrease the risk of having breakouts (or worse) from bacteria, and will ensure your makeup application is as easy and seamless as the brush developers intended.
If you don’t wash your brushes, the buildup of products can impact how pigment clings on the bristles or fibers and will impact how your tools perform. Each brush is crafted carefully with the angle of the bristles or fibers designed to lay down the product in a specific way, and if you don’t wash them regularly, the angle can change.
As for germs, cleaning and disinfecting your tools will help keep unwanted bacteria at bay. We offer plenty of disinfectants created specifically for your makeup brushes and tools to ensure they don’t damage delicate bristles or fibers. If you want to know how often you should clean your makeup brushes as well as our product recommendations, check out this blog.
PRO Tip: If you're a makeup artist or share your beauty products with others, we also highly recommend sanitizing your products with products formulated specifically for cosmetic products. This will ensure the textures and shades do not change as you disinfect them.

Beauty Resolution for 2023 #3: Keep Your Makeup, Hair Care, and Skincare Products Organized
Finally, this is a tip we’re sharing with makeup artists in mind because they’re the masters of keeping track of their products!
Staying organized is an essential part of being a makeup artist from ensuring you never run out of your most used shades to purging your kit of any expiring products (check out our guide on makeup expiration dates). We’ve helped them curate their kits since 2003 with the best makeup bags and cases, de-potting tools (including a makeup repair kit in case of makeup breakage!), and empty palettes and pouches to help you organize your products.
If you’re the type that has backups of products to ensure you don’t run out, it can be handy to write on the packaging or create labels to indicate when you opened or purchased them, and if you’re trying to track product usage, even take note of when you finished each item! If you find you’re running through a product regularly enough to warrant always having it on hand, check out our Subscribe & Save subscription program that can give you up to 10% off your favorites!

Our Top 3 Beauty Predictions for 2023
If we learned anything about the beauty industry in the last few years, it's that things are becoming even more unpredictable! However, there are a few predictions we have a pretty good feeling will come to fruition in 2023. Keep reading the blog to find out what they are (and why we believe in them)!
Our top 3 predictions for 2023 are:
Professional makeup brands will continue to go viral
The return of more bold and colorful makeup looks
Makeup Artists and Education will become even more important
Learn more about our predictions for 2023:
Beauty Prediction for 2023 #1: Professional makeup brands and products will still go viral
Long before Ben Nye Pretty Pink and Kryolan Fixing Spray were the hottest products on social media, many of the professional brands we offer skyrocketed to fame thanks to shoutouts from celebrities like Kim Kardashian (watch her at-home beauty routine with Joe Blasco Ultrabase Foundation), viral videos on YouTube (raise your hand if you heard about RCMA No Color Powder in the late 2010s, #IYKYK!), and the list of products that have gone viral goes on.... Â
Why Professional Brands like Ben Nye, Kryolan Professional Make-Up, and Joe Blasco go Viral on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram:
We are never completely shocked when one of our products goes viral on social media. We're passionate about finding the best products the beauty industry has to offer and proudly provide our community with the brands makeup artists have relied on for decades to achieve the best makeup looks possible!
From richer pigmentation to the ability to mix and manipulate the products to achieve a different shade or finish, to the long-wearing nature, professional products are created with performance in mind. That's not to say that professional products are better than those you'd find on the shelves at your local beauty retailer. They're just created with a different purpose in mind.

Beauty Prediction for 2023 #2: The return of more than "no-makeup makeup"
Beauty trends come and go, so we're pretty confident this trend has already begun. While many beauty lovers were trying to achieve the "no-makeup makeup" look or the "clean girl aesthetic", there were plenty of folks that still loved a full face of makeup or experimenting with bold colors and color-shifting formulations. We believe 2023 will be the year of beauty self expression taking center stage!
Based on the latest releases from popular brands including more multichromes, beaming highlighters, and vibrant hues that will soon be hitting the beauty shelves(just look at the 2023 Pantone Color of the Year, Viva Magenta), we know it's going to be an extra beautiful year ahead!
PRO Tip: Remember that just because something is trending, you don't have to try it out yourself. Will the no-makeup makeup look ever be 'out of style'? No. That's the great thing about makeup and beauty in general.
If you love it, wear it! Being Camera Ready is about feeling your best no matter what your routine or makeup preferences are.
Makeup Arist and PRO Educator Terri Tomlinson worked with us to create several videos to explain why pink powders like Ben Nye Pretty Pink can provide a brightening effect and which complexions would benefit the most from it
Beauty Prediction for 2023 #3: The power and importance of Makeup Artists and education
Now that platforms like TikTok and BeReal. allow others to share short-form videos with makeup hacks, product swatches, and quick reviews faster than ever before, it can be easy to feel like you have to have whatever's trending. However, it's important to remember that products aren't always perfect for every skin tone, skin type, or even makeup style. That's where makeup artists and education come in!
Some of the most popular influencers on TikTok and Instagram are actually makeup artists (like @Paintedbyspencer, Danessa Myricks, @crissscortezz, @roseandben), so you know when they share a tip or product with you, it'll meet their standards, and more importantly, they'll teach you how to use the items they're loving.
Learning why products work (like color-correcting products and professional setting sprays) will make you appreciate them more and ensure you love them even once the social media hype dies down.
Our team is always writing blogs to give you tips and to share tutorials, and we love sharing fun and binge-able content on social media! To ensure you're not missing out on any of the fun, give us a follow and sign up for our emails below!

The Best of Social Media - Viral Products in 2022
We think it's pretty safe to say that the sheer volume of viral beauty products and makeup hacks has grown exponentially since TikTok gained more momentum during the last few years. The 2022 Viral Beauty Products we offer include:
Ben Nye Pretty Pink Powder
RCMA Cream Foundation
Alcone Stop the Sweat
Bdellium 972 Double Dome Brush
Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder
Danessa Myricks Beauty Lightwork Volume 4 Transcendence Palette
Melanie Mills Hollywood Super Lite Long Lasting Setting Spray
Ben Nye Final Seal
Kryolan Fixing Spray

Scott Barnes Cosmetics Naomi Lip Liner
Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre
Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye
Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream

Viral Makeup Products: Ben Nye Pretty Pink Powder, RCMA Cream Foundation, Kryolan Fixing Spray, and Senna Brow Book on TikTok and YouTube
We had to group Ben Nye Pretty Pink Powder, RCMA Cream Foundation, Kryolan Fixing Spray, and Senna Brow Book together because the talented @Paintedbyspencer sang their praises on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube during various times this year!
He first shared a video about RCMA Cream Foundation in his "Gatekeep Reveal" TikTok in April, and the coverage he achieved was beautiful! If you've wanted to try this product for yourself, we sell samples that are perfect for shade matching, too!
Soon after, he shared a "dupe" video showing how Ben Nye Pretty Pink achieved the same rosy and brightening effect as Huda Beauty Cherry Blossom Powder. He also pointed out Ben Nye Pretty Pink is a fraction of the cost, and we created a blog with PRO Makeup Artist and Educator Terri Tomlinson to explain why it works (and to remind folks Pretty Pink was created decades ago!).
In a YouTube video in December 2022, Spencer shared a video singing the praises of all Ben Nye powders and the variety of shades offered to achieve different looks.
Since then, he also shared more posts showing how to use the Senna Brow Book to contour and create a subtle eye look and talked about the impressive makeup setting power of Kryolan Professional Make-Up Fixing Spray, a PRO favorite setting spray, in his Best of 2022 YouTube Video.
Viral Makeup Products: Alcone Stop the Sweat and Ben Nye Final Seal on TikTok
This summer, Alcone Stop the Sweat and the already viral Ben Nye Final Seal (check out Jackie's Aina video in our other blog about Viral Products!) went viral again on TikTok after one user shared how it kept her makeup on despite the excessive sweating and oil production on her face.
Both of these products have been used by professional makeup artists and performers alike to slow down the oil production process that normally breaks down your makeup and to also seal the products to prevent them from being worn down by external factors like humidity, light friction from rubbing, and even light splashes of water!
Viral Makeup Product: Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye on TikTok
If you saw the video of a woman using Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye on TikTok, odds are your jaws hit the floor and you instantly ran to Google to see where you could buy this "eyelift in a tube". While the results are incredible, it's important to remember the instant lifting results are temporary. It does include skincare ingredients to provide anti-aging benefits, but don't expect the lifting effect to be permanent.
PRO Tip: Less is more with this product. If you apply too much, it may leave a slight white residue, so we recommend applying a little to your skin first to test how much you need. Â
Viral Makeup Products: Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder & Lightwork Volume 4 Transcendence Palette
It was a great year for Danessa Myricks Beauty products! From new and limited edition shades of her popular Infinite Chrome Flakes that went viral in 2021 to the introduction of her Yummy Skin complexion line, Danessa Myricks kept delighting us with her new releases.
This year, her two most popular (and undeniably viral) products were the Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder (samples available here) and the Danessa Myricks Beauty Lightwork Volume 4 Transcendence Palette! If you haven't watched it yet, we recommend checking out our Instagram Live with Danessa Myricks and @Paintedbyspencer where they demo the Transcendence Palette!
We have no doubt she'll create even more beautiful products in 2023!
Viral Makeup Product: Bdellium 972 Brush on TikTok
Bdellium Tools is a professional brand that creates makeup brushes and tools that live up to makeup artists' standards and needs - in other words, they blend products out with ease, can withstand more frequent washing, and offer unique shapes and sizes to make applying makeup easier and faster. Sounds like a dream, right? Â
In May 2022, TikTok user @avonnasunshine shared a video showing how the Bdellium 972 Double Dome Brush magically blended out her foundation in just one swipe. While it may seem like magic, there's a reason why it works so well and why it's worth the hype! The Bdellium team perfected the angle that the bristles needed to be positioned and the two rows of bristles so that you could get twice the blending power with each pass of the brush.
Viral Makeup Product: Scott Barnes Cosmetics Naomi Lip Liner and Avene Cicalfate+ Protective Restorative Cream
When Hailey Bieber shared her perfect brown lip liner combo for fall on TikTok, the demand for the exact liner she used skyrocketed! In her demo, she used Scott Barnes Cosmetics Lip Liner in Naomi, and it sold out in record time.
That's when our team of beauty experts went to work and created an entire list of alternatives to help you get the look! Click the image above to see the entire list of dupes! Speaking of dupes and viral products, the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencils in Limitless Brown, Anywhere Caffeine, and Whatever Walnut have also enjoyed social media fame this year, too.
Â
Viral Makeup Product: Avene Cicalfate+ Protective and Restorative Cream on TikTok
Speaking of Hailey Bieber, we're convinced anything she shares on social media is destinated to become an overnight sensation. In 2022, she shared a video using Avene Cicalfate+ Protective and Restorative Cream, and the Google searches swelled to reach new levels.
This richly nourishing cream is a fantastic option for all skin types but especially handy for those with sensitive skin; it is alcohol free, fragrance free, paraben free, soy free, wheat free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic. Â

Viral Makeup Product: Melanie Mills Super Lite Long Lasting Setting Spray on Instagram
We love @roseandben's ability to teach makeup techniques in a fun, quick, and easy-to-understand way, and her video showing the makeup setting power of Melanie Mills Super Lite Long Lasting Setting Spray still blows us away.
Viral Makeup Product: Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre
It's no surprise that most of our viral products are makeup, so it was great to see some of our favorite skincare products get some social media love, too! Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre has been a must-have for makeup artists for years due to its versatility, gentle yet effective formula, and nourishing ingredients. It's great to prime the skin, to mix with other foundations to sheer out the coverage (especially the RCMA Cream Foundation), and can even be used as a makeup remover.

Three Easy Ways to Incorporate The Pantone Color of the Year Into Your Makeup Routine
If you love following beauty and makeup trends, 2023's Pantone Color of the Year Viva Magenta is perfect for you because there are plenty of options for lipstick, lip gloss, eyeshadow, and blush in this bold raspberry color! Unlike last year's Very Peri, Viva Magenta is a universally flattering shade that can make a bold statement for eyes, lips, and cheeks!
To view all of the products, click here, or keep reading our blog!
Learn more about our Viva Magenta Makeup Product Recommendations
