The last thing Vincent Kehoe of the Research Council of Makeup Artists wanted to do was create more of the same in the world of foundations. It was this desire that revolutionized the world of makeup as we know it, spawning the now-legendary RCMA Foundation. Considered the top choice of professionals everywhere, RCMA Foundation is a staple in many an artist's kit. A professional, highly pigmented, blendable cream base that is formulated without perfume, mineral oil or lanolin, RCMA Foundation is ideal for photography, film and anywhere high-definition quality is needed with a finish that feels light enough for every day wear as well. Each pan size in this palette is 0.08oz and is enough for 10-15 applications each. Not sure what color you need? Buy a sample!
"I carry RCMA professional makeup palettes in my kit. This is a great foundation for print, TV, film and bridal. I am never caught without the right color when I have these! They're a must-have if you can't afford to fill your kit with full sized products but need a wide range of shades in a few, easy to handle palettes." --Mary Erickson
What makes RCMA so different?
*This product was previously called [RCMA Foundation/Concealer Palette - Sampler Size]*
*Versus commercial liquid foundations ratio (18-23% pigment to liquid) and theatrical foundations (30-35% pigment to waxes and oils)**Most theatrical foundations contain mineral oil or petrolatum as major ingredients

very nice product! It lasts a lot longer when setting it with a loose powder.

Great product with lots of pigment so you use almost nothing to get great coverage. Sits light on the skin, blends incredibly well

So I read reviews after reviews before purchasing this product and finally I decided to just go for it because everyone raves about it. I am a freelance MUA so I thought it would end up making my life easier. Wrong. I am concerned I maybe just got a bad one bc everyone else seems to love it. It takes a lot of product to build up any type of coverage. The shades aren't even that great for brightening or concealing. I will have to admitted that once you pack on layer after layer it does look really nice and like real skin...but 2 hours later and it goes completely patchy and no coverage at all. I have excellent skin with no acne scarring or anything just some veins and a little uneven skin tone to cover and it didn't even work for that. I even bought the foundation moisturizer to go with it and set it with a powder and setting spray. I am so disappointed... I wanted to love this so bad but I'm terrified to use it on clients because there is no way it would last through an event. Please be careful before buying this...no money returns once used!

Lightweight yet flawless. A little goes a very long way and love that it sets on the skin looking natural.

I bought this to start my kit. I was a little hesitant that this might be to creamy. But this stuff is amazing very pigmented and light weight. It feels like you have nothing on even compared to a light foundation this beats it. It still makes you look flawless and is good with flash photography. The packaging is perfect.

A very nice sheer to buildable coverage palette. Easily blended, and long wearing when set with powder. photographs beautifully, start with less than you think you need and build.
I personally was looking for something with a medium/full coverage which this product does not provide, but for what it is, it is an excellent palette and affordable considering the amount and variety you recieve.
(I purchased the Shinto palette)

I did lots of research on the best foundation palette for my MUA kit, and ultimately landed upon RCMA. I bought the Shinto palette, and I am so glad I did. I had read that it is not very beginner friendly and takes some trial and error to find what works for you in terms of knowing how to use it, so I was prepared. The onlyyyy reason I give it 4 stars is because it is so very sheer, which is a good thing if that's what you're going for, and I've heard you can build it up but I just haven't been able to yet. I've used it straight from the kit as a concealer and it still is not the super full coverage I was looking for, but perhaps I'm too picky. I'm sure it will come with time as I practice with it. It does sit beautifully on the skin and I will be buying again for sure.

this is a wonderful product! i keep this in my kit as it covers global skin tones effortlessly. it's very creamy and buildable so start with less. as it is creamy, you definitely want to properly prime a more oilier skin type to get max wear.

This is by far less expensive than buying your concealer, foundation, and contour kit!
This is a professional grade cosmetic and has a little wax in it but it's the best!

I have used this pallet a long time ago and remembered I liked it. So I decided to buy it again for my kit. This still is one of the best foundations I have ever used! You can mix an match to get any color needed, it wears on the face like a second skin and you can make it any consistency by thinning it out or using as is. My favorite way to use it is by mixing it with a moisturizer. Glides on beautifully. On areas that need a little more coverage, I will spot correct with the full coverage consistency. It's not extremely matte... But it's not really dewy either. In my opinion, it's just right.

Really loved this product! Great coverage and looks like skin!

I love this product! There's a color for all skin type and since it's a foundation/concealer pallette, I don't need to but different products that'll take up space in my kit.

This foundation gives a flawless coverage! Very creamy and blend able ,you can also use as a concealer which means you don't need to buy a separate concealer it's colours are highly pigmented.thank you crc for your excilent customer service ,I recieved my order very fast.

wow! Just wow!!! I have always heard great reviews about this product and I had always tried to compare it to its predecessors But this is just amazing. The product it self is amazing, super pigment and little goes a long way. With one palette you can do foundation, concealor, and contouring. It's prefect for a traveling artist since the colors are versitle (you will never not have someone's shade)

I never go back to liquid foundation. I have dry skin with large pores and getting "older". Nightmare to find a foundation which covers well and looks natural....bur here it is. My holy grail !!!

I've used sooo many dif. brands of makeup and this is my favorite so far....I have bought 3 palettes so far and working on my order for the 1oz containers of my fav. shades...they blend beautifully....especially with moist sponge/blender..I am also going to try out the thinner along with it this time around but I've been fine without it...just been using the RCMA moisturizer prior to makeup application and it just feels amazing!!!..and an amazing product to have as a MUA because of all the shades that you can create with these palletes!! JUST IN LOVE!!!

It's got a very different formulation. Trying to figure out the best way to use this. It's very pigmented, and easy to blend. Definitely have to warm it up with your fingers. Best bet is to YouTube a tutorial on how others have used it.

Few months ago I bought from CRC these 2 palettes from RCMA, #10 and #11. I waited to review them because I wanted to have tested them and used them on different people that had different skin color, different undertone, that were in different age range and with several skin type and or issues (acne, oily skin, birthmarks etc.)
This is now my Holy Grail foundation. I love it and it is worth EVERY penny. It has worked on every clients I used it on, on myself and on several friends. It takes very little to do a face. I use a spatula to take the color or few colors to match my client and on a palette I mix the product and apply it after. It needs to be warmed up before going on the skin IMO. It's the best way. I have been using primer on some occasion but it's not necessary I believe from experience.
There has been no client I couldn't color match and the best is that having so many shades in a palette (imagine with both), I can do anyone's face. It can be used as a corrector and concealer and to contour and highlight also. It can be very light for someone who needs light coverage, medium or full. It's a versatile product and the reason you need so little is because it contains 50% pigment (when most foundation, high-end or else are in the range of 18-35% of pigment) so you get an awesome professional product that can be used not only by makeup artist but also by makeup lover.
As a professional makeup-artist with several years of experience I can tell you it's the best foundation I have ever owned. It was recommended to me because I wasn't sure which brand to get and I am thankful that I trusted the recommendation and if I wanted, I could carry only these 2 palettes for foundation, corrector, concealer, contour and even bronzer. It's that amazing.
Some people hesitate because they see the price as high (I'm in Canada so it was 85$ plus taxes for each palette) but not only have I used it on every client since I bought it few months ago but I haven't use much because of the amazing pigmentation. My clients love it and love the way their skin looks because even full coverage still allows your skin to show, you don't look like you are wearing a mask like other foundation do.
These 2 palettes are in my ZUCA and when I am done with them, I will purchase the RCMA large palettes. But to start, I'm happy I got these sampler palettes and they contain tons of product.
The coverage lasts ALL day and as a makeup artist, I couldn't work without these palette. They are my #1 product and it makes the skin look flawless without looking like you are wearing makeup. Just a flawless finish that makes every face look at it's best.
THANKS CRC for the recommendation, I can't say enough good things about RCMA's foundation.

Typical guy who knows nothing about beauty products, other than the endless list that he is given to look at and buy by his step daughter. Great service by CRC, well sent. Step daughter so happy with product that I ordered the second sampler for Christmas. Product so good that step daughter even was able to make her mother look good with this product!!!!

This is a staple in my kit. Coverage is amazing, lasts ALL DAY! I work with a lot of brides and here in New England, just about everyone wants a more structured face and neutral eyes. With this palette, I highlight, I contour, I conceal any blemishes, and I can build coverage. But most importantly, I can customize a guest's specific shade, PERFECTLY. I feel like a chemists!
I do recommend researching the product before hand just so you can get a gist of how to work with it. That way, learning how to use the palette correctly will come easier to you =)

I work with my husband, who is also the photographer. When I first used this palette correctly (yes, there is a learning curve) he called me back in the computer room and said to me: "Look, I'm not complaining, and his skin looks great, but did you apply make up all over his face? I can't see anything. It just looks like his skin!" He was blown away by RCMA and even asked me to teach him how to use it. Why did I take so long to find you RCMA? Love, love, love!

All pro's AND anyone that has a fetish for superior beauty products...should own at LEAST these RCMA sample pallets. I have this in both Shinto #11 and KO #10 and never have to pull anything from outside of these trays when using them for cover/conceal/base/contour...anything. Just outstanding. The pigmentation in this brand is unparalled.
The full size pallets seem pricey, but are PENNIES compared to what you would put out with any other brand.
I hear and see many comments of those surprised at the size (thickness) of these pallets/per cost. That they expected them to be larger.
Im sure these folks ate those words once they started playing around with them. lol There is enough product in these samples to last a moderately busy pro months & months! On a personal level? Possibly YEARS!
I cant say enough good thigs about RCMA..so I best stop now before I write a book.
Dont think it over any longer......GET IT. You'll be pleased you did.

LOVE THESE AND HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO THESE FOR A COUPLE YEARS NOW!....I HAVE ADDED THE MOISTURIZER TO MY COLLECTION AND I AM JUST IN LOVE WITH THE WAY THE FOUNDATION GOES ON OVER THE MOISTURIZER....NEXT, I PLAN ON ADDING THE THINNER TO MY COLLECTION...WISH RCMA MADE A SET WITH THE PALETTE MOISTURIZER, THINNER, AND THE SETTING POWDER FOR A SPECIAL PRICE....BUT I'M RATING THE QUALITY OF THE PALETTE AND I GIVE ALL RCMA PRODUCTS I'VE USED 5XL STARS :)
Posted by MARTA KRAWIECKI on Oct 17th 2014
DON'T EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT GETTING THE BIGGER BOTTLE...I GOT THE 2 OZ JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TO TRY IT OUT WITH THE REST OF MY RCMA COLLECTION AND JUST LOVE THE WAY IT FEELS....HONESTLY I LIKE THIS MOISTURIZER BETTER THAN MY CLINIQUE MOISTURIZER THAT I'VE BEEN USING FOR YEARS!

Had discovered RCMA following a Wayn Goss recommendation, claiming it to be "the best makeup in the world", and swapped the Graftobian pallettes I originally intended to buy with the 2 RCMA sample-size pallettes. All and all I think they are a GREAT buy: being a fan of a light-to-medium, dewy finish coverage, I tend to thin them quite a lot using the RCMA thinner and think they resemble Mac's FACE AND BODY foundation's consistency that way, which works for me. The result is a very flattering, natural looking skin which photographes beatifully and hardly needs FS touchups, I've been told. thinning it down will also prolong the wear of the pallette, so great as well:) Cons: RCMA's collection seems to be missing a truely light shade - their lightest one, Porcelain, is too dark for fair skin tones, in my opinion. Also, the dewy finish maybe less suitable for oily skin in hot weather. Also 2, keep in mind that working with the pallette is more fassy than simply dabbing a liquid foundation all over. I tend to combine it with FAB foundation ans thinks it works well togetter, and will address most skin tones. I love these pallettes very much and recommend them passionately :)
