Just right!!

I had dark eyebrows and most of the hairs are still dark brunette, but I am 66 and they are thinning at the edges...a dark pencil was WAY too dramatic and gray wasn't right. The fine lines this makes gives me just the right amount of added fullness without looking unnatural.

BEST pencil for ash blonde hair

If you find that every "blonde" or "taupe" eyebrow pencil is too warm-toned for your ashy or graying hair, but you don't want to jump to the blue-gray of pencils specifically for fully gray hair, you need Senna Sketch-a-Brow in Ash Brown. My brows are sparse and light, and the Senna pencil is lighter than Anastasia Ash Brown and Urban Decay Cool Cookie, the other two ashy pencils I use. Those can make my brows look drawn on, but this one never does. If you're looking for an equally ashy brow gel, try By Terry Eyebrow Mascara in Ash Brown. It's ashier than Glossier Boy Brow in either Blond or Brown. Together these two products are my brow holy grail.
