Fair Classic Translucent Face Powder

I think this definitely has its place somewhere, but not in my kit. I find it so cakey! It clings to my lashes, eyebrow, hairline. Something I have noticed is that talc-free powders perform worse in terms of clinging to hairs and the buildup. I loved Ben Nye's lux line of powders, which seem to have additives that help with that, but the classic line I guess is not as good as I remember. I also find the powder to be more natural in finish, for oily skin this is no good! Normal and maybe even dry might like this with the right prep, primers, and skincare. I just don't think the classic line is worth it for me since it's so cakey and clingy no matter my prep. And for how heavy it is in looks, it only withholds shine about 2 or 3 hours on me. The buildup on hairline and lashes? Really, the best way to reduce the cling is by wiping excess away with a fine cloth, as my brushes don't seem to manage, both natural and synthetic. Very unfortunate since I go through so much powder, I thought this large size would be great. Not for now or me… It seems for setting powders, the high-end stuff can manage a smooth talc-free formula. For theater, I think this finish should be fine, especially with baking. The finish for every day and talking to persons as normal would lead to a powdery obviousness that I dislike. Up to you and what you're willing to wear! It definitely has its use, so I would not claim it is poor quality--just a matter of not to my needs.

Seamless when used over foundation or alone. Great touch up powder. Very finely milled that it can blur out textured skin.

I have used this product for years and love it. It is perfect to set my makeup with! As someone who is extremely pale this is one of the only powders that doesn't leave an orange tint.
