You wake up one day and someone has done it! They’ve taken your idea, your dream, and brought it to market. You waited, and someone else acted. They acted because they had the money to follow through. If this has happened to you, read on.
There are so many big brands hitting the market with new products and tools for makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts. These big companies capitalize on Instagram and YouTube personalities, and more often than not these new products are the brainchild of a working artist.

Makeup Artists Understand What Artists Need

Ok, maybe real makeup artists aren’t great sales people and maybe they aren’t as glamorous in front of the camera, but they know what a good product looks like, what it feels like, and how it performs. Social media artists know how to sell themselves but not necessarily how to create a product that working makeup artists need. 

Makeup artists know what artists need on set. We know what tools work and what tools don’t. We see gaping holes in the industry that we know we can fill, given the right opportunity.

Unfortunately, we usually only dream about these opportunities and we wait until one day a large corporation brings our dream to life without us.

An Idea Was Born

I was recently driving home after visiting my elderly mother. She is now 88 years old. Visiting her always reminds me of my own mortality and how short life really is. One day I may be in this same position, with little memory of the life I led – and all the money in the world won’t change that very real possibility. I want to look back and see that I’ve made a difference in people’s lives.

I’m in the position to do this now, thanks mainly to makeup artists and enthusiasts all over the world who shopped with Camera Ready Cosmetics over the last 15 years. I know their struggles, I know the cosmetics business, and I know makeup artistry. I know the hills and valleys of this business, all the twists and turns, and I know first-hand how hard it is when you don’t have money to buy a kit or even take a class.

Giving Back

I want to give back while I still have my mind and my health, and so after much thought I’ve decided to give birth to a whole new venture. A venture that gives back to the same people that made me successful -- Makeup Artists and makeup enthusiasts – those men and women working the day to day grind as professionals in the cosmetics industry.

• We will set up a phone meeting.
• You will pitch your idea, tell me how much you need, and for what you will use the funds.
• If I believe the idea is something I can help you with we will go to the next step in the process.
• My desire is to invest in people with a great idea that need funding and mentoring on this path.
• Just pitch your idea and your business plan. I will choose the ones I think will do well, and I will invest my own money to make it happen.
