March Madness: Loose Powder vs. Pressed Powder
A kit and makeup collection staple, powder is one of our most popular products. It probably comes as no surprise that this was the closest matchup all week! Loose powder pulled ahead at the end of our Instagram Polling session and won with 52% of your votes.
Our four featured makeup artists each selected some of their favorite powders, so continue reading to learn why these products are at the top of their list for must-have powders!
Kristen Baumeister @kristen.b.artistry
When it comes to powder, Kristen loves many formulas, but a go-to for her is Ben Nye Neutral Set.
"I love that it is lightweight and perfect for every day or special effects makeup! It also doesn't give you flashback like some powders can."

Leslie Hernandez @leslie_makeup
Leslie's favorite powder is Ben Nye Luxury Powder.
"I can't do makeup without it. There are a variety of shades, and it sets the foundation without looking dry or heavy on the skin. It doesn't create texture since it is very finely milled and doesn't give you flashback."
Sophia Nawabi @makeupandhair_sophianawabi
One of Sophia's favorite powders is By Terry Hyaluronic Powder. Available in a translucent version and tinted, this finely milled powder blurs imperfections and hydrates the skin for a camera ready look.
"I have a lot of favorite powders, but this one is incredibly lightweight and photographs amazingly."

About Camera Ready Cosmetics
Camera Ready Cosmetics was founded in 2003 by Makeup Artist Mary Erickson. She dreamed of having a pro makeup showroom where artists could play with professional products without the typical makeup store attitude.
Today, our team of beauty industry veterans work together to curate the best quality products on the market. We partner with brands who respect the industry and formulate products for true working artists. You won’t find CRC in high-end malls, and we don't wear matching brush belts.
If you want to play with products for a few hours and buy nothing, that's okay ... come in and play! Our store is your playground.
