This is my first time using alcohol activated paint, and I believe the refill option is great. It does rub off if you really really try + use soap / exfoliate, because it's like a layer of pigmentation. However its wonderfully water-proof (and sweatproof) otherwise and the best way to describe how it works is like thin watercolor. Definitely have to work fast with the alcohol! Pigmentation can be pretty opaque as if it was real watercolor paint, but can also be fairly translucent. Also, the palette smells pleasant, faintly like cotton candy. The one downside I've personally experienced is that when you build up the color it can be really tricky to make it all even coverage, but that's most likely due to the nature of adding alcohol, the very thing that will activate and liquefy the pigment.
