Application tips
Mattes - If you are using a base, we recommend you set it first. Especially before applying deeper shades, give them a quick swatch to familiarize yourself with the pigmentation. These highly pigmented colors don't have to be swirled. Dipping your brush once will pick up plenty of pigment. Use a blending or shader brush for best results.
Metallics - Apply with a dense brush or your finger. These metallic pigments perform great when used dry, but spraying your brush with setting spray can further enhance the shine. Avoid getting moisture into your eyeshadow pan.

Inky, deep blue - precisely what I wanted! It's brighter than navy, but beautiful as a blending color in the crease, verrry lightly, to give a luminous look. Note this is a more powdery formula.

I bought four eye shadow pans: Recluse, Runaway, Ephemeral, and Lore. My favorites are Recluse and Runaway, but all look great. Many "neutral" eye shadows look too orange on my skin, so Ephemeral and Lore are real finds for me - they both have yellow undertones and actually look neutral on my skin. Likewise, many green eye shadows look too blue on my skin / next to my eyes (looking at you, Makeup Geek), but Recluse and Runaway are the most yellow / least blue olive greens I've ever found. They look natural on my skin and really bring out the green in my hazel eyes.
These shadows have an unusually creamy, dense texture for a pressed powder, especially Ephemeral - I learned not to apply Ephemeral with my finger, because it goes on too thick that way - applying with a brush works much better.
