Does not sharpen

At first I thought it may have been the pencil I was trying to sharpen but unfortunately, I've found that with all my pencils, it will not sharpen unless I force the angle of the pencil toward the blade. It's almost as if the blade is not positioned right. Unfortunate as I really wanted to love this... The logo also smudges and it's kind of messy leaving black streaks. I don't put any products on it either.

Besu sharpener I've used hands down. I'm not sure if it's somerhing in my heas, but as a left-handed person I struggle with sharpeners. This is the only sharpener I can use that doesn't tear up my pencils. Will repurchase forever.
