Beauty lovers, you have a lot to look forward to this year! When it comes to makeup, it looks like the newest trends for 2021 are designed to let us shine no matter what comes our way.
We've analyzed the makeup predictions from beauty editors from publications including Who What Wear, Allure, Cosmopolitan, and Elle to compile our Top 5 Beauty Trends for 2021.
5. "Lived-In" Eye Looks
It's no surprise that eyes will be the main focus for many beauty lovers in 2021. This trend is all about creating a gaze that's a little less perfected, and a lot of smudging and extra blending are highly encouraged. Usually reserved for nighttime looks or special occasions, this look is forecasted to become an everyday staple. Marie Claire showcased these lived-in looks from fashion houses like Paco Rabanne and Chanel, while Elle mentioned this eye trend as one of Lady Gaga's current favs.
Get the look: Take an eyeliner pencil like the Make Up For Ever Aqua Resist Color Pencil and draw a fairly thick line across the upper lash line, and smudge using a smudger brush. Take an eyeshadow in a similar tone and blend well beyond the crease. Taking the same eyeliner, line the lower outer half of your lower lash line and smudge generously. For a more diffused look, skip the eyeliner application on the lower lash line and use the remaining liner on your brush to add a dash of diffused color along your lower lash line. Pair with a nude lip to finish the look.

4. All About Lashes
Lashes have always been a focal point for any makeup look, but this year, we expect even more unique lashes and lash offerings from more magnetic lashes, longer lashes, and even the return of colored mascara.
Get the look: If you want to enhance your natural lashes, try a heated eyelash curler for maximum impact, or add a splash of color using Danessa Myricks ColorFix.

3. The Return of Bold Colors
Colorful eyeshadow is making a comeback with purple and blue being the standout colors, according to InStyle and Marie Claire. If you want to dabble in color but can't commit to an all over lid shade, try a colorful liner instead.
For lips, punchy peaches, vibrant berries, orange-based reds and grungy tones were paired with minimal eye looks on the runways of Giorgio Armani and Balmain. An added perk of the bold lipstick trend is that it's a quick pick-me-up before your next Zoom call.
Get the look: Enhance your eyes with the Violette Etendu palette from Viseart, or add a dash of color with the new Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment from Danessa Myricks Beauty. Cozzette Beauty also released new long-wearing cream shadows with beautiful jewel tones. Looking for a more subdued way to incorporate the trending colors into your makeup wardrobe? Try the Scott Barnes Glamazon Palette or the Lethal Cosmetics Jolina Palette for a wide range of everyday colors with pops of blue and purple.
For the bold lip trend, we offer a wide range lip products in a variety of finishes. However, don't forget to prep your pout with a great balm first!

2. Graphic Liner
Contrary to the lived-in eye look, this look takes a steady hand, a highly pigmented liner, and a precise eyeliner brush. Be creative with the color and shape of your liner, as this trend is all about expressing yourself through your makeup.
Get the Look: Practice makes perfect for this look! According to PRO MUA Jennifer Danni, it's essential to use a clean brush each time you start a new look. There are a plethora of liners to choose from, but a gel liner or water activated liner paired with the Bdellium Tools Studio Liner #10 Brush performs beautifully with this technique.

1. "Dolphin" Skin
While achieving a healthy and glowing complexion isn't exactly a new trend, this year's interpretation ups the ante with a dewy finish on the high points of your face. Beauty enthusiasts dubbed this look "dolphin skin" last summer to describe the luminescent sheen you'd get after a dip in the ocean. This trend differs from the glass skin trend because it allows you to select your favorite foundation coverage from sheer to full instead of using a sheer or medium coverage foundation to create the glass skin look.
Get the Look: A well-exfoliated and hydrated base is essential for this look. A mask like the FITISH Beauty Sheet Mask can provide soothing hydration for sensitive skin, or using a device like the FOREO UFO 2 can provide long-term benefits and serve as an at-home spa-like experience. We also offer the FOREO UFO 2 Mini & UFO Mini, so if you're not sure which device is right for you, click here to learn the differences and benefits of each!
While you can use your favorite foundation to achieve this look, a dewy or glowy finish foundation like the Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation or Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer will give you that extra glow. Once you've completed your makeup routine, tap on a dewy highlighter like the Danessa Myricks Dew Wet Balm or Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow to the tops of your cheek bones and lightly along the bridge of your nose. For an ultra luminous look, opt for cream based products like the new Danessa Myricks Balm Contour and Rituel de Fille Color Nectar Pigment Balm.
